Now that they have been released and been played for a little while it would be interesting to see what people think of them.

Personally I think they are a mistake to be introduced as they are now.

The autoaim should be the same as for all tanks as should be the damage done to them when you hit their suspension.

Caters for the kiddies who have become their target market and wanna play Hello Kitty karts. I mean, whats with the stupid cartoony hop it does when destroyed? Make the kiddies laff? Its just silly and doesnt belong in this game.

 

But good luck making WG change them in any meaningful way.

There should also be a, "Needs some adjustment but could be ok in principle," option.

 

There's too much we hate change, because its change going on.

 

That does not mean though that wheelies don't need some adjustment.

The proximity autoaim does not even work, at least with the  AMD178b. It is not just me, everyone else I talk to is the same - you have to actually light up the tank like you do with normal tanks.

 

It is a feature that they must have  removed  without telling everyone, have played 50+ games in that tank now

Do you also have a version of AA+ installed? Maybe that takes over.

I dont use mods, XVM or any of that since maybe 2016, I play better without mods and dont have to stuff around with updates every second day..

There are three replays from last night, all bottom tier matches, an ACE,1, and 2 mastery games, about 4.5k damage total, no mods, liberal use of autoaim, but never once did that proximity autoaim feature ever work.

 

It does not work, and it does not work with anyone else I have talked to either

I dunno, I think it's mostly about the maps, maps are either not big enough for wheelies, or just not designed for things to zoom around at the speed of sound.

Have never had an issue with the generous AA ++ for the wheelies in the client, seems to work every time for me.

Just remember I made available all my replays at that time and I proved my innocence, if you ever want any more of my replays I am happy to give them. 

 

In any case close the client  completely so there are no mods, and this problem is solved, but WG won't because I suspect they like all that free dev work the modders do for them.

I have only played the tier6 tank, maybe 60 games, so cant speak for the other tiers.

 

But what I have seen playing with them and against them, they are well balanced. Some scenarios the wheeled tanks just suck, but others that are very powerful. This is no different to any other tank in the game though. Early yoyoing does not pay off, if you can stay alive to the mid part of the game, the wheeled tanks are very dangerous

The aim thing for the 6 worked for me. 

 

Be aware you can't use it if they are behind cover, you need to be able to light them with your mouse over thingy before it'll click. So if they are hard cover and you can't auto aim, it won't click it. But if they are not quite in cover, it works. It is a little fickle at times but it does work.

I find it pretty frustrating to try and use, would be happier using the normal autoaim, at least then I know why it doesn't work ;D
