Well as most of you should know by now, CW S11 takes place from 3 Apr to 12 May.

This definitely seems to clash with the week for Frontlines in April. Suggest having a ceasefire or delay the start of the season past that FL week.

 

Feel free to leave any other comments relating to Season 11 down below, less those looney calls for tier 6 CWs. Thanks.

Yea...I guess its choose if you are rolling FL or are a CW clan....shrug not much of a choice for me....I'd rather get pummeled by unicums rolling in an organised team than try to carry lemmings

yea.....but the minions tend to get engrossed in seal clubbing....and then sneak in that one extra battle....and end up leaving us short for advances.....so I shudder to think about CW....

have to say it is 1 of the worst seasons in recent years (compared to 7-10). So many down time where global map is frozen that we cannot land matches especially with weekends being prime time for gaming. :-(

I have a suggestion which hopefully WG would consider as CW season 11 ends soon. 

To consider expanding the gold rewards to all the 100+ clans which participated in it even if it is merely 1,000 gold or so. It would really encourage more clans to participate in CW as this season seem to really see a big dip with lots of inland provinces not even occupied for days on end.

CW belies a fact that many players enjoy playing in a team. Without a clan, I seen so many friends quit in the last 5 years whereas those in the clan continue partly because of the social nature of being in a clan community. Clan communicated on other social media like FB, discord, etc. and they share much info about the game which spurs players to explore and keep them engaged in tanks.

Fingers crossed for some added incentives in playing CW season 11 despite its diminished value.

Expanding gold rewards would decrease competitiveness and reward clans that do <10 battles in a season, which would punish the gold income that top tier clans fight hard for. WG cannot increase the gold pool as it is a directive from HQ to limit the amount of gold in the CW season. What the hell will 1k gold do to a clan that hardly plays? I guess you could allow every member to demount  equipment a couple times...

I haven't seen you on the map?? Or in a battle for a landing??

You chipped 2 provinces yesterday, both with no opponent at the last minute... with no chance of a battle?

ETC didn't bother to cancel their chips on tier VIII when they moved to tier X, so all 3 battles on the last day they had on tier VIII were techs...in fact if you look closely they only won provinces when there was no opponent....everything else was a defeat during the whole season.

So I guess you could say the argument for expanding gold rewards would quite literally reward a clan which didn't win a battle on the GM. Competition!

there were some reasons for our poor performance this season but ETC has always been active in every CW since it started. No excuses for not doing better though. But the timing also coincided with mid term exams for our younger student players so they could not join (young players often are quite good players too). Barely able to field 8 players for tier 8 battles at times. But then again as a clan of ranking averaging 50th to 150th over the past 5 years, it is common for us to get technical defeats. Perhaps the better clan could be more understanding of the plight of lesser clans which is still trying to make some effort in CW. Not that I am asking for pity but try running a lesser clan and you will see the challenges we face. Give some credit to our efforts to participate. You can tell that there are barely 100 clans that even join CW and that seems 1000 players at most? out of the total APAC player base. And in season 11, there were less than 100 clans that made any score (worse than all seasons that I seen so far in the few years I play WOT.

ETC was part of 3 clans founded by the original player of which we are solo active one left. Even many of the alliances that we had from beginning are dead. Guess my point is not so much about our results but attributing some effort to keep this game lively. Been in other games which slowly died off and at the end even the best players and clans have nothing left to enjoy. So my ask was merely to keep our players engaged.

the reason for not cancelling the landings on Friday evening was simply because it was the 2nd last evening to do battle. Sadly so many players were out, some with dinner appointments. We managed to field enough for a battle at 2100hrs but miss 1 clan task of 100k dmg by just 1011. Took the gamble with penalty but player base participation failed us. If less global map freezes (2 weekends I noted), we could have done a bit more. Just my side of the story.
