CT 1.5 just went live. Here's the update for those who don't keep up to date on WoT news.

 

WoT specific premium accounts will become available. It'll offer extra bonuses over standard premium. Read about it here: https://worldoftanks.asia/en/news/general-news/1-5-wot-prem-account/

 

WoT Premium Accounts give extra daily missions, with the grand prize being bonds.

 

We're getting new high tier Swedish mediums.

 

These are all at top configuration.

 

Extra benefits of the WoT Premium Account include exp multipliers, reserve stock (bonus credit deposit that accumulates, and pays out lump sum), and the option of excluding an extra map.

 

Choices, choices...

 

The x3 multiplier can be applied to any victory.

 

I haven't tried the reworked tanks as yet, but that tier X medium is damn nice (so far), and that's taking into account the +200 ms lag. Feels very agile, and the turret can bounce a fair share from heavies.

Do not confuse team strength with individual strength; a single enemy killed in a 1v3 is worth more than two enemies killed in a 4v2 / Lanchester's Square Law predicts in a 2v1, the side with 2 will end with 1.5 tanks remaining, so if you won with less than that remaining, you're actually noob, not pro

When you are not losing because you outnumber the enemy, your other flank is losing because they are outnumbered; it's just math

Law of mirror: When you are holding a 1v6 against the enemy, you own team is also getting 6v1 held by the enemy

Noob self-balancing theory: When you release a good tank, enough noobs will flood to play it, until the server stats become average again

Does anyone know where to find a Bugs Thread?

I'm currently testing the Tier 9 UDES 16 MT and there are some issues...

Probably not as those invisible TDs can still be useful on a lot of maps, but there's certainly even less of a reason to play them now.

The new Mediums are not going to replace the current Tank Destroyers; they have a lot less accuracy, shell penetration and shell velocity making them unideal to fight with from afar. They may compliment them nicely though

I noticed a couple of errors on the new Swedish meds

 

On the UDES 16, the damage sticker on the barrel doesn't move with the recoil.

 

Also, I was playing the UDES 14 5 on Airfield and noticed the dirt effect is really heavy

Also, the tracks don't sag like they should.

They're not meant to. Those mediums use hydropneumatic suspensions, tracks are kept under tension. You'll see the same with the Swedish high tier TDs as well.

I am really not keen on the Pay-to-Win advantage that Players will benefit from getting this "new" Premium feature, especially how they can exclude Maps more than a Standard Player as well as obtaining resources such as Bonds tens of hundreds of times easier than a regular player would get, please Wargaming revise this decisions as recent Premium Tanks are better than their regular counterparts already, come on :/

A stun duration reduction without an adjustment to the EXP calculation is a problem. Reducing the stun duration will mean there is less time for team members to damage a stunned tank. Reducing this damage credited to the SPG will reduce the EXP earned therefore it will be harder for an SPG to gain Exp, levels in Frontline, etc.

 

SPGs in Frontline are at a significant disadvantage as it can take them five or six times longer to enter into a match. Now it will be even harder to advance ranks in a Frontline match.

 

Back at the time of Update 1.4 when I first learnt of these SPG nerf proposals I was thinking of quitting WoT when 1.5 went live. I had flagged this nerf was going to be a problem. I see nothing has been done to address the Exp problems. Instead I'm going to drop the game now. 

 

I'm leaving after many years of WoT with over 32,000 matches. One side effect will be a significant increase in the average of player ability and an improvement in the standard of matches on the Asia server. A big thumbs down for Update 1.5

For me, the swedish medium tanks are snipers from afar that is nice.

It would be nice if i can research the swedish medium tank from the UDES itself from the TD line to ease the grind just like Tiger P to Tiger 1.

And for the SPGs, that would be a Double-Edge sword. Giving both advantages and disadvantages at the same time as the Stun duration would be shortened and can be stacked while the XP earned would be affected. But at least the Maximum damage possibl is unaffected.

And for the Premium account, only the P2W could benefit it the utmost as the F2P players would wait for the freebies.

I liked the map exclusion as it can give the tank's advantages and player the utmost experience of it but the majority of it would exclude the small map like city maps as it was disadvantageous for the TDs and SPGs.
