I sold my type 5 and am going up the [Japanese] medium line I suppose until that gets nerfed ...

STB is a build in nerf, doesnt need more nerf. Supposed be mid-long range fighter but has bad gun handling characteristic and lacklustre accuracy. Noe they want to change it to short-mid fighter. Guess not with that frontal armor and turret armor. the role japanese tanks can play now is been bullet sponge. If so i would at least go with type 5 and make people waste prem round on me.

Iirc they are buffing the dispersion characteristics and the turret armour somewhat.

Honestly though they are changing so many characteristics of the  STB1 at once (nerfs and buffs), it is hard to say how well it will go on the live server; assuming they don't make even more changes before then...

There's still weird issues with wheeled vehicles and collision damage, my Lynx got killed by a tree earlier today.

Aesthetic issue: track tension on many tanks is still way too loose.

Yeah I know, tracks irl do slack back & forth a BIT....but the visual effect is just absurdly over the top ingame.

My Churchill VII's tracks slack so much at the front, they don't even contact the front tension

bogies - which would result into a thrown track irl for sure. That's why they're tension bogies - irl, they make sure there's enough tension on the track to keep it from being thrown.

Various other tanks like the Jagdpanzer IV also have way too loose tracks compared to how it is irl.

I mean, you guys have put that much effort into HD models, but then such a track issue makes one wonder why you bothered with that, when the track tension looks all out of whack.

The opposite side of that are the tanks with tracks which appear to have no slack whatsoever.

Yeah, it's really noticeable on the swedes. Looks like a plastic toy tank with single-piece pre-molded tracks.

^ah yes, the Sagdpanther issues...

Well, to illustrate this. Pics.

Jagdpanzer IV example - simply driving forward in a straight line:

Spoiler

The only instance when there should be that much slack is when a tank makes a sharp turn or a neutral turn; and only then, the slack only occurs on the track which is at the outside of the turn.

In this video you can see a Jagdpanzer IV driving straight forward with track tension as it should at 17 seconds into the video:

Spoiler

Then, at 50 seconds you can see a L48 version make a turn and only that's when some slack at the front drive wheel occurs:

Spoiler

Then there's the Churchill:

Spoiler

Again, when you look at the real world Churchill as in this video - you can see there's only a little bit of slack whenever the tank makes a sharp turn or when it turns neutral - not when it drives straight forward:

Spoiler

Afteral, we bothered to download the HD client of WOT and we bothered paying for PC hardware good enough to run at nice graphics settings and probably plenty of money into premium accounts too - but then there's Wargaming's whacky inconsistent track tension going on with quite a few tank models ingame.

Perhaps at least give us a checkbox in the settings menu to disable this "dynamic track tension"  effect - so then the people who like it can still have it, while others can switch it off.

I don't really notice any more. Just play and in a distant part of my conscious mind i simply note yet another element of WG's game that remains broken.

I pointed that out because it's actually not a coincidence. They're meant to be like that. Hydropneumatic suspensions have dynamic track tensioning.

I just sigh when my super stealthy medium gets spotted by a heavy while double bushed, or when my light tank with super redonculous camo-defeating spot range mysteriously manages to lose sight of a heavy 300m out in the open.

Of late I've noticed many occasions of taking a shot thru clear bushes (ie not double bushed or anything fancy) and not getting spotted. For all the bling 1.0 brought, id happily go back just to have working bushes and trees.

Before it's too late to tell the developers...

E9 is wayyyyy overbuffed for south team. Not one, but two places where they can just park a hulldown tank and cover the whole alley + field.

You know it is stupid when most enemies just rush up and camp on the building belonging on the enemy side. Can we just throw molotovs down from the roof?

Noobs don't snipe because they are good at snipe; noobs snipe because they can't do anything else / People don't lose because they lemming; people lemming because they are losers

Do not confuse team strength with individual strength; a single enemy killed in a 1v3 is worth more than two enemies killed in a 4v2 / Lanchester's Square Law predicts in a 2v1, the side with 2 will end with 1.5 tanks remaining, so if you won with less than that remaining, you're actually noob, not pro

When you are not losing because you outnumber the enemy, your other flank is losing because they are outnumbered; it's just math

Law of mirror: When you are holding a 1v6 against the enemy, you own team is also getting 6v1 held by the enemy

Noob self-balancing theory: When you release a good tank, enough noobs will flood to play it, until the server stats become average again

Far out, I grind the T110E5 only to get it 1 week after its nerfed, thanks WG as its unusable now and useless in clanwars.

Would you believe I've been spending my time grinding the Type 5 line and purchased one only a few days ago. I reckon with these changes it will be the same results.

WG you are wasting my time and screaming at me not to play this game anymore. This time you may be successful.

The T110E5 hasn't been in the meta for clanwars for ages.

So where's the FL episode 4 feedback thread? Or has indifference reached such heights that they don't even want to bother sweeping our feedback under the rug?

A couple things I've noticed in a few game:

1) Team lists occasionally don't get displayed when hitting tab

2) I've seen invisible tanks that only cast a shadow driving around. Creepy! Or would a visible tank that casts no shadow be creepier?

Just played two games, both games attackers reached the final part of the game with 10 minutes and 12 minutes remaining.
