Got the M4 , pretty much on All my tanks one light , (correction now on my light i have coated optics and removed telescope)

3 mediums and a tank destroyer i have Toolbox / Telescope and Camo net as i like to see as far (and shoot) as far as i can before being spotted .

But when Tanks are pretty much on you Camo or not even behind a building i am spotted .

So what good , what does a camo net actually do , hide you at more of a distance ?

With only three slots /someone told me to run , Rammer, vents, GLD on the M4 derp ?

The GLD with 10% faster aiming is helpful but at the cost of either camo , toolbox or telescope .

I like the instant fix of the toolbox being a noob and now being thrust into tier V games , totally different ballgame from tier 1-IV .

3 slots aint enough .

In garage you can check your overall camo rating which will take into account your crew camo skills, vents, camo net, directives, food etc.

A reasonable camo rating for a medium tank without camo net but with full camo skills would be around 25-28%, camo net would add around 10% to that but it is only active when you are stopped for at least 2 seconds.

You can also check the effect of camo on spotting using the following site http://www.wotinfo.net/en/camo-calculator where you can enter your tank, crew skills, equipment etc to match what you have in your tank and then select an enemy tank you have encountered to see what distance you need to be away to avoid being spotted.  Again note that camo net only works when you are stationary for at least 2 seconds.

The Dude abides.

Are you using the bushes? Camo-net won't save you if you stand still in the open..especially from the sealclubbers (in their Luchs with 4k games and 4-5 star crews). M4 is a tall tank, camo net won't save you for long in it, tun GLD,Vent and Rammer as someone has already told you.

I was guilty of Seal clubbing with my M4 to train my crew and farm credits. I did go with camo net binos and rammer once the crew is complete with camo and BIA first. Was training my third skill on it. its recon and awareness so kinda just get to a bush and derp derp derp.

I do use bushes , I think im on camo , bino and rammer atm , think i will stick on this for awhile , and im on the 15th mission which is take out (2) Tank destroyers and survive and be in the top 5 i think , which is just a matter of jagging that , as i thought i'd NEVER set a tank on fire as easy as it sounds in the M3 Lee but jagged that eventually , which is stupid cause if you kill a tank its on fire : - /

Think when i do mission 15 i get a free stug which is why i went the M4 instead of stug .

Only have 1 more mission (mission 15) for medium tank to get the Stug i think ?The 105mm is the longer gun ?

No. The short derp gun. It's in the decription for the gun (where it says 105mm)

I still think it's morally wrong so in fact I'm right.

The 105 is the 105mm. I don't think it's the longer gun, but in the gun description it'll have "105mm" somewhere. That's the derp.

If i am not wrong, the way guns are described are by caliber of the round, meaning the size (diameter) of the round.

so 105mm means the external diameter of the round.

also, camo nets for lts and snipy td/mts.

if you are big/tall, camo net kinda useless, also if u are going to be near the front, ie playing support or 2nd line(getting spotted always), or moving a lot then camo dosen't deploy and to a certain extent add weight and slows mobility(especially low power stock engines).

Camo net does not give you invisibility. It's not like the Invisible Cloak in Harry Potter.

Instead, camo net is simply an equipment which boosts the camo values of your tanks. The only drawback, you have to remain still if you want to enjoy its benefits.

If you really want to maximise the camo values of your tanks, train your crew with the "Camouflage" skill and apply camouflage on your tank.

Why do I still play this game?
