not sure how the rest of the player base is going, but 9 out of 10 matches/games for me is a 0-15 (4-15)  loss or 15-0 n (15-3)win. its taken all the fun out of this game

what did WG do in the last update to ruin this game

is this happening to anyone else?

No I haven’t.   I will tell you take every win I’ve had  lately it seems like I’ve had to work my [edited] off to get.

Generally speaking TDs can't dictate a battle as well as other classes hence if you feel battles are out of your control it's reasonable advice to play something else.

 

Beyond that the continual dumbing down of the mechanics, armor models, maps, p2w etc has made the game less attractive to competitive players. While the 47% and below crowd probably don't even notice. The result is more bad players per battle with less clue on the basics. And typically bad players have so little care about their own performance that they'll just drive out aimlessly while doing bugger all over and over and not think even once the toxic impact they are having on the game. They are having fun after all... Battle momentum leads to the quick one sided battles. The team with fewer 47% and below players invariably dominates. It's been going on long enough that you now see some very average players with borderline denial levels of game understanding making it up to around 50%.

 

There's no quick fix unfortunately as the decline of the core competitive values like balance has been sliding for a few years now. They could try of course but I suspect it would take some time to regain the trust of the competitive crowd.

My WR in tier 5+ has gone right to sh!t in the past couple of weeks. Can't imagine anything in my game play has changed but the matchmaking seems worse than usual (and that's saying a lot). Of late I've stuck to lower tiers or played something else. Mid-high tiers are miserable.

Well said. I always hesitate to press the Red Random Battle Tab and when I finally do press it, I pray with bated breath that the opposing enemy team has more 42%-47% win rate players/bots so that I stand at least a better than 50% chance of winning the battle.

1st, It's kind of timing, sometime, especially on night time, animals playing a lot and u got such awful game.

ITs probably a combination of some maps being unbalanced or too small, massively experienced players (you didn't have >100k players in the past), Power creep (esp speed and view range), and may come down to luck.

In a lot of the maps if a light tank goes to a spot and the opposing doesn't its game over. One light spots the opposition who get clobbered. The speed is especially important. So many fast tanks that if they overwhelm a side before the opposition gets into spot they win that side and move around behind the other team creating a crossfire in the first couple of minutes. Small maps make this more likely. Take ensk - how often do you see one side blitz the field and get around the opposition after no more than 2 minutes. 

Also having one or 2 really experienced players in an overpowered tank dominates the teams. Because the game is so old there is a lot of really experienced players with multi skill crews and top tanks. Even having one or 2 on a side versus none on the other makes the difference. Take ensk on encounter - if you watch skill4tu he takes his good crew with high view range to the rails, sits there unspotted and spots most of the enemy team crossing shoots several and spots for team mates. By the time 60 seconds has gone by the opposition are effectively down a tank and haven't even shot back.

If you want to be like the blue and purple players just play lower tiers like they do. That's all they do, they play low tiers stat pad their ways up to looking good then play tier 10 then can't hit shit. lol

 

Just have fun, WN8 really is a joke. Even me as bad as I am would murder most blues and purples.

I've seen you play and I'm 100% confident in saying that is not true. You can't even Murder greens in tier 2.

I don't know about that. His damage average is basically the same damage on his TOG and T34.

Quality of players is so low in this game, i always supprise how they can be such stupid in all kind of tank, and now new racing cars trying to break the record how fast they can suicide.
