What the thread title says. You get one free commander as part of a new account tutorial, and of course you can get a free commander with (usually) 3 skills via the Twitch link promotion.

Are there any other ways?

Maybe in the not too distance future, skilled crew members can be bought using bonds or real money.

Yes, though those are longer term. I mean specifically to help new players with a brand new account. After all, if you have a couple million creds you can just buy a crew book.

The STuG personal missions aren't massively onerous.

Oh not in the least. Not saying that. Just, with all the new player credit boosting, you're more likely to make 2 million in credits before you're done even one campaign, and probably ground up at least one commander to 6th sense by then anyway.

I still think it's morally wrong so in fact I'm right.

Not really free, but those training books make for pretty skilled up crew very easily - essentially it's just a credit grind.

What is the ( Twitch link promotion ) ?

I am a member of Twitch prime and get ONE free commander every month with i think 3 perks + 2 prem rentals per month imo great value for money .

Also Jack ryan on prime is a good series .

Yeah, the King Tiger prints credits like crazy. The new player I was trying to help out already bought a crew book for their unskilled crew, and that was after they had equipped all their tanks with at least the 2-3 pieces of equipment they each needed to get started. Of course the free premium time you start with will run out soon, but their account is at least set up with a number of kitted out tanks with reasonably skilled crews now.

I got (3) commanders by completing Tank races .

Also i got female crew members by doing the stug missions , they are supposedly better than male for some reason .

Crew books are laughable , +3%-9% increase for perks is next to nothing , i'd never waste real money on them .

???

Crew books are fine? For 2 million they will give you a skill and a half on a new, 100% qualified crew, which is more than enough to get you started. Seems fair to me?

Don't go for the cheap books. The books worth 2M credits is the one worth saving up for.

For 2 million credits they will give a 100% trained crew + a 100% perk and 50% 0f the next/other perk ?
