Would you rather the ole' 10+ arty per game? That was fun for nobody.

 

1-3 SPG per game, it won't make a difference to the game. People still going to QQ about something (insert next vehicle here).

 

What you think this game is all about??? People get BORED from having to worry about arty. Mainly becausee its braindead class to play. BORED. No, relocating doesnt grand you instant imunity for arty.  Okay we have different points of view i can survive to that, now you talk like arty isnt a problem for the game while in reality arty isnt a problem for YOU! so you are very lucky. Congrats.

Maybe you could use those magnets you talked about earlier and get some TMS therapy, you seem a bit down in the dumps.

 

When did I ever state that arty isn't a problem for me when I'm playing an "actual" tank? They do damage to my vehicle just as they do everybody else's...it's a mechanic after all, and something we all deal with. 

 

It's class that's been nerfed to oblivion and not a "broken" mechanic as such as what the WT E100 was, for instance.

I'd like to see where you got that info. Considering the rate of accuracy tends to be about ~30% for arty, an increase to it would be marginal for hit percentage. The only benefit is the increase radius of splash damage. Stuns are just a shit mechanic all round tbh. Some one must've really hated themselves to come up with that.

 

Also I reiterate what I said earlier. Would you be rather hit for 1600 damage, or suffer 400 damage splashes over a few minutes?

I have been  playing arty recently [edited].It is more accurate, more disabling and because of the increased splash radius it does more effective damage. I'm running the GWE with a BiA crew and chocolate and 100% premium ammo. I know exactly how broken the mechanics are.

Lets talk about the S-51, one of the biggest (is it the biggest?) guns in tier 7. Go have a look at the top damage players in the ratings, then come report back how bad they are for the game. It's humiliating seeing the damage stats, and now it's a tier 7 - even worse.

Can't say the same for the Blunder Bus at tier 8 though, the 212's position when I played that line. Their damage seems appropriate. 

 

Personally since returning to the game earlier in the year, after the nerf, I have averaged far less damage than I ever did pre-nerf.

 

Seems this post got railed hey!

omg you are still discussing with this guy Stevethegecko you have some patience! Clearly this guy have some serious passive play style that no arty will care about! Better to leave him alone.

 

PS. Just as we talk about arty, was circling an IS7 now almost getting a 5k game when guess what? couldnt relocate against 3 arty while circling that IS7 which was crutial to win the game. There are now 2v2 arty going on lol. I killed one of them. Cant bother watching the end tho.

 

PPS. I doubt you can spot something quite typical in this picture. People talk about DPM like DPM is the actual damage people do per minute on avg basis... ARty still is annoying, now even more than before with Stun mechanics. Dont even need to be a direct hit. Stupid class. ARty have FULL DPM efficiency while DENYING other tanks DPM, directly by stunning them, or indirectly by making ppl hide.

My arty play involves a lot of alt-tabbing, blindfiring and attemptig to snipe LTs and wheelies.

 

Also Fjords west spawn is great for fast artillery and El Hallouf is an all round good arty map.

 

The worst artillery maps are probably Paris and Empire's Border, but Empire's Border may just be my own lack of experience in playing on that map in SPGs.

 

Edit: Actually I quite like Namewasstolen's specific term "DPM efficiency". SPGs have the nice ability to keep their gun firing regardless of most battlefield conditions. I might adopt this term.

Going full shotgun mode when he was like a Mini Cooper was some of the best fun going around. :playing:

Yeah, 28 SPG's in one match so the other matches could finally get a single-arty battle.

i can understand why arty is in the game, But i think 3 is pretty stupid. 1/2 you can make work even if it can be aids. But 3 game after game is absolutely stupid and ruins the game IMO

Not at all. SPG promotes peoples camping so that they don’t get rained on. TDs just camp anyway.
