Hi, I have been playing WOT for many years, but have only recently noticed that even when playing a premium account, I am not gaining enough credits to play. My win rates is improving, so I cannot understand why. Are other players having this experience?

Try sticking to the lower tiers and premium tanks if you have them.

I'm still making a healthy profit, but as above use premiums and lay of the gold, only use it for hard to pen tanks above your tier, or when you need to get the kill to survive.

Have you run out of consumables and now need to buy them the end of each game? Especially prem ones.

It was a bit of an adjustment for me after the xmas credit fest going back to the normal credit arrangement, but its still easy to make very good creds in T8 prems.

You are hardly doing any damage, and losing a lot. You are also being very passive (average spots is 0.64), so you are sharing the credit income from the little damage you do with spotters. That's what is hurting your income generation.

Drop down a few tiers and focus on getting more damage and being more aggressive until you get comfortable with that playstyle, then go back up the tiers.

Got a few battle result screenshots? Id hazard a guess too many gold rounds and the use of consumables

this is one good detailed explanation for the OP. I hope his win rate keeps improving as its a sign he is improving overral in the understanding of game mechanics and understandment that wot is an actual RTS (real time strategy) game. Firing gold sometimes may helps to win battles, but that doesnt mean gold is the main element of the battle (this is one point that may be causing the op to lose credits).

Good luck for the OP and have a good improvement! You are on the right way.

try to fire less gold and stop using foods and large kits

Many of my tech tree tanks, I burn through 50k per game sometimes if I am not running premium, and still make a huge loss even if I have premium.

The trick, for me anyway,  is to make heaps of credits during events like Frontlines and Holiday Ops, and use that to finance your expensive tanks.

When playing tanks, I run premium food, and fire my best bullets. The same way I use new  and good quality golf balls when playing golf, and buy the best quality bike I can for riding.

I have a mate who dropped $25k on a new bike because it was a few hundred grams lighter than his previous bike. Are you advocating this sort of approach?

I bet you actually use suitable golf balls (they may be new) and ride a bike suitable for your purposes. Best road bike is useless on trails. You even explicitly state you don't use the best golf balls.

I've seen so many people buy the "best" surf ski they can find, then realise it requires a skill level way above what they have and cannot actually sit on it. It sits in the garage taking up a lot of space until they sell it and get back about 50% of the money they paid for it.

You can buy Olympic kayaks (albeit about 8 years old) for less than $100. They are fantastic, the best, its just that 95% of people cannot paddle them because they are so unstable.

Use ammo which is appropriate to your needs and you will get credits. For regular pubbie games sometimes that is gold, most of the time standard rounds are fine. For three marking a tank that might be a different loadout, but its pretty clear the OP is talking about regular play.

OP has a playstyle which is giving others half the benefit. Using gold ammo is not going to help him on bit, and will probably make things even worse. Focusing on basics of play will give him a foundation which generates lots of credits.

Maybe you should try playing in hard mode. You know, for the challenge!

Because Frontlines don't record stats, use your normal ammo there. No one's looking anyway...

Also lay off your expensive consumables for your normal run of the mill games like food fuel and a few other expensive things that are used up every game, at 20000 silver credits a pop after 5 games thats 100K credits gone and thats just one consumable. Imagine if you had 2 consumables say food and 105 octane fuel thats 40K  credits gone per game.

Save your expensive one use consumables for specific games like the first battle where you get at this time 50k credits if you win the first game or you are doing a round in clan wars where it really counts. Run of the mill games...... nah

As for tanks that i own and have run and do play. Two examples.

T 54 Russian tech tree medium. Tier 9 you need to shoot gold ammo for it to be effective. So its bloody expensive to run and cannot be used in clanwars. Its really a gateway tank for the T 62a or the object 140. It sits in the garage.

amx 13 57 French light tank premium. Tier 7 cheap standard ammo that is amazingly effective is a good money earner and is as cheap as chips to run and on top of that a great crew trainer. It is used all the time every day.

I play the T54 a fair bit and it doesn't need HEAT to be effective in it. The lower DPM gun has fabulous gun handling and it makes weakpoint sniping pretty simple. Its mobile so you can flank.

2 button is when you want to burn through a well arnoured tank and you cannot flank.

If you don't want to use heat then you can run away and find a better fire position.

I carry about 2/3 standard, rest HEAT in mine. Its a pretty solid credit earner.

The double plus is that they buffed the pen on the standard AP. It used to have 200 which was a bit iffy at times, but at 220 it's fine for most things you need to be shooting at.
