Alright, it seems that the information about the Event having an Auction is true, as the image below shows the Chrysler K GF is the first Tank to be Auctioned with a Starting Bid of 3 Million Credits, what this means is that you can put an X amount of Credits to Bid no less than 3 Million Credits, and the Top 2,550 Bids win the prize at the end of said Auction. Losing bids will have their credits returned in full, Starting Bid and Quantity of Tanks may vary.
Link of Source.
You can freely change your Bid at anytime with no Penalties until the end of the Auction, just in case you want to alter your Bid.

Additional Information in regards to Korea, it seems that due to the Nature of the Event they are not allowed to participate in the Black Market due to Laws(?) and WG has no plans to compensate or do anything about it, other than to block them from participating.
Which roughly translates to:
"Landing Cargo(red) Don't be disappointed. We will bring a new item to be sold soon. We are working on it"
Google Translate:
"All black market content is served the same as other regions, except for products that are subject to competition rules.
Commander, lets join the auction! Regards from your old friend, The Salesman."
Personal Note:
I do believe this is Wargaming testing the waters on how much they can get away with making a Credit Sink to the Playerbase, I also fear that we'll get a tank auctioned in Gold as well. Though they may be effective in a way to get currency out of the Economy I still feel this is an underhanded move that I very much deslike, but that's just my personal feelings about it, let's have a Discussion, how do you feel about this new implementation in the Event, write down below!
