When I am fresh and in a good mood I tend to do well in this game.  But RNGesus and/or poor teams can quickly turn my mood sour and the longer a session goes the worse it seems to get and this is reflected in my results.  I have found the sweat spot for me seems to be less than 10-15 battles in a session.  Do I just need to take a "chill pill" or is this a common attribute among players?

Common. Team mates are always bad. The more I get on tilt the more I focus on how bad my team mates are and it's a downward spiral. Inversely when in a good mood I ignore or laugh at the badness and pick up the slack. Don't play while on tilt.

Lately I've been playing <10 battles a day, sometimes even around 5 in low tiers just to do the dailies then getting off to play other games.

If I play much longer than that, particularly in higher tiers, my enjoyment of the game usually slides. Think it's more down to being bottom tier most of a session rather than anything to do with personal or team performance (well I guess your personal performance is influenced to some extent by your place in the MM).

The longer you play the more chance you'll have 'one of those games...'

I have actual PTSD related to the bystander effect, so the play on this server quite literally triggers me (something I didn't understand for a long time, though I've know it for about two? years now).

So, basically I'm an idiot for playing this game! :P

Also related to fine motor control fatigue. Depending on age you can function well for about 2 hours before you WILL have an observable drop off in performance. This is for continual tasks heavily dependent on fine motor control. Breaks will help push this out a little.

I find about 2.5 hours is the sweet spot for me, people younger than this crusty old dude will be able to push that out. After 2.5 hours as soon as I hit 4 losses on the trot I'll finish up. Been pushing 60% WR doing this.

What are you talking about mate? Your platoon mates do all the lifting. You forgot to mention the B2 platoon as a way of getting the mojo back....

I was definitely on tilt that night, and it was only for the daily missions I swear.

Well how do you classify bad teams.....  Just had this battle.  On my team the top 1/2 of the team were 44-49%ers.  The bottom half were 50-58%ers.  It was the inverse on the enemy team!

Don't rely on xvm. Your teammates who have 52-58 might be statpadders. Xvm clouds judgement most of the time.

To be fair top half bottom half in a same tier battle isn't all that helpful. Granted open/city it might start to matter.

Actually - never thought about that....  I often wonder why I see so many mid/high 50%ers do 0 in a battle (with the equivalent XP).  I don't run XVM, I just check stats on each team post game.

If anyone wants to rig matchmaking, they shouldn't bother with XVM or WGR, they should just send a survey "How tired are you today?" and group all the tired players on the same team against fresh opponents.

Are you middle aged like me? I am turning 50 next month and I am definitely going downhill in this game from here on. :arta:

The amount of 3-4k damage game losses I've had in the rev has been disappointing.

Part and parcel of the game unfortunately.

Consistency is better than a one of performance.

I have been regularly watching the world's best WOT players streaming almost daily. They made quite a lot of Noob mistakes too, it's just that they do it far less consistently than the rest of us Pubbies.

Have you considered the possibility that he may have been blind firing into bushes and the usual spotting positions?

I realize the best way to play in Asia is to see the Asian CC play. Our meta is a whole different ball game. its basically expect the unexpected game play.
