Why 277 is more mobile than IS-7 in the actual game?

Despite the similarity on the statistic, 277 is starting faster then IS-7. On tanks.gg they have similar HP/t and exactly same terrain resistance. What make the difference?

Interesting topic. A fellow on wotlabs postulated that the game has some hidden gear ratios or something similar that are modelled. Hence with a lower top speed the 277 has in effect smaller ratios and hence accelerates faster.

Or maybe the values in the client (which are the ones getting datamined) are different from the server.

The basic issue is expecting logical consistency in this product.

There was an interesting analysis on the SU130 pm vs the Skorpion done by 4Tankersanddog on YouTube, which seemed to suggest a similar conclusion that there are some hidden stats even beyond the normal hidden stats.

“Holiday ops is balanced for Asia because a good player opening 11 boxes will get just as many decorations as a noob opening 75..”—.Murazor new head of global festive events.

There is a hidden stats called speed increase time. Its like the engine differents in real life, the engine out put its peak power in specific rpm

 

The similar situation also happens on USSR MTs

I'd say something else is that while the hp/t and such are similar, being 13t heavier will still make it more sluggish.

 

Also keep in mind that in making a vehicle accelerate quicker, more torque is needed rather than more horsepower. Torque is what gets you moving up to your normal maximum, horsepower is what keeps you moving past the barriers that restrict you such as frictions.

WG have admitted that the numbers we see in the client do not have to be the same as the ones on the server.

Apparently one of the Swedish TDs were modified a while back and the patch went out without the client stats being updated.

Some said that it was a secret nerf as the unicums who played the vehicle could see that it played differently but no change had been announced.

 

Makes you wonder if the client numbers match the server numbers on any vehicle.

Maybe I'm imagining it, but I could swear I've heard "transmission shifting" noises on some tanks as they accelerate. Not that that really means anything about hidden stats.

Not sure on the sound, but there is definitely graphical changes with the exhaust.
