Not sure if this has been posted about, I searched for it but couldn't find it.

Recently (the last week) the ANZ server has been having heaps of server rubber-banding.

My ping which is usually maxed at 60ms for the worst days previously still had the green connection light, however this last week it has been up to 120ms and the connection light is almost always red.

If it was just me having this issue I wouldn't have brought up the topic but 3 other people who I know  that play on the ANZ server and they all have the same issue.

What has happened did you change servers?

Lower your up/down to the server?

It is basically unplayable on ANZ so I have been playing on the HK server which has 200+ms if i wanted to play like that I would have stayed on the US servers.

PLEASE fix this.

Same, Friday night was horrendous on ANZ server. It happened a few months ago and the WG staff got it fixed somehow. Hopefully they can do it again quickly.

weird occurrences. i play the ANZ server from NZ and often plat with mates from OZ (Sydney/Melbourne/Adelaide) and they suffer lag and packet loss like crazy, where as i hardly have that issues, especially the last few days it has been so bad for them that they have abandoned playing. i have suspicion it is not only WG'ngs problem but also the crappy broadband in OZ, i mean that in the nicest possible way. Maybe guys contact your ISP's an tell them to look at their routing configs.

Playing this arvo and play was very jerky. Did some checks when I read this thread this morning and couldn't see any problems but just did 100 pings to wotasia3.login.wargaming.net and 24% were dropped. Ran pingplotter which flagged a lag problem at the last hop. Reported to support..

Well WGing have pushed my fault report back to my ISP (TPG) saying that the problem is with AS7545 which as I can only describe as the TPG cloud. Here is what PingPlotter currently shows https://share.pingplotter.com/CMoLi15RvmD

TPG told me that their last hop is hop6. I can run 100 pings to this hop without a failure. I can run 100 pings to hop 7 without failure. When I ran 100 pings to hop 9, which I did about 10 minutes ago, I see 40% failure. I don't see how this can be TPGs problem though the lack of interest in this thread might suggest that it is.

Thoughts please?

HK has blown out to over 200 ms now. Played some games on ANZ during the day but packet loss too bad now.

Fixed? Spoke to my brother this afternoon and got him to ping 92.223.48.14 via his Bigpond connection and no dropped packets. At the same time I saw 20% loss via TPG. Now looks clean via TPG

 

 

Played a few games and could see lag but ping plotter showing no dropped packets. Restarted PP and now see dropped packets........

Can see I am getting 18% packet loss to ANZ as I write. So this problem isn't War Gaming's problem as Bigpond users can ping 92.223.48.14 without any packet loss. It is possible that some other ISP's could be affected if they route the same as TPG.  I have a ticket with TPG who say their network isn't causing the packet loss and TPG don't want to look further. I contacted the next network provider a couple of weeks back. They are NTT and have equipment at hop 7 and maybe hop 8.... NTT told me that I am not their customer and to get my ISP to contact them. Still trying to get TPG to do that. I suggest that all TPG customers who are getting packet loss, raise a fault to TPG. Send to helpdesk@tpg.com.au and ask for your fault to be assigned to techops. Maybe through force of numbers we can push TPG to act.

This happens with TPG / iinet connections every few months - no idea why. WG talk to TPG thorugh their tech contacts and sort it out. But needs lots of people submitting through WG's google form to get any action, I think.

Horrific ping and packet loss on ANZ for me just now. Unplayable.

Only realised tonight that pinging wotasia3.login.wargaming.net (ANZ) can return 1 of 2 ip addresses - 92.223.48.14 and 92.223.48.21 and, it seems that the packet loss is caused only by 92.223.48.14, still intermittent though. Given the routing, for TPG at least, is the same for both ips, seems the problem is with WG again.  I put "92.223.48.21  wotasia3.login.wargaming.net" in my hosts file (which I haven't used for years) so wotasia3.... always resolves to 92.223.48.21. Raised another ticket for WG support to investigate.

So my ticket with WOT support hasn't got very far. Support desk has resolved it about 4 times and I have unresolved it 3 times. Bit bored now. We have a workaround though which I mentioned in my previous update. I have been running WOT with wotasia3.login.wargaming.net permanently set to resolve to 92.223.48.21 without any sign of packet loss or lag for over 24 hours now.

Hey everyone!

Just an update on the current ~20% packet loss on ANZ. Over the past 48 hours in conjunction with affected ISPs and the Server Team we believe we've identified the issue and a temporary solution has been put in place while we work with ISPs on a permanent solution in the coming days. This was implemented at around 4:45am this morning.

If you've previously experienced issues could you please let me know if they've disappeared, or if still experiencing upload a new report to the link below!

It's been a bit of a rollercoaster and is no easy feat trying to co-ordinate with 5 different ISPs, so I appreciate your patience while I've been working almost 24/7 (

Thanks Centurion, been bashing my head against the WG Support Desk and my ISP for weeks about this issue. Neither WG Support or TPG seemed to know that greater powers were involved. Can you supply a link to the facebook  page where that information was posted please? I would be interested to know exactly what they found. My money is on a faulty nic in the ANZ server.
