I haven't play this game for some years and when i came back i didn't see any japanese heavies around,I wonder what happen?

Japanese Heavies aren't in a good spot right now. None of the vehicles are anything particularly good, the vast majority are downright terrible to playable at best, and multiple changes to the game haven't helped either.

 

They already weren't the best vehicles after they got rightfully nerfed all those years back, and the HE changes were the nail in the coffin. On top of that, other superheavy lines like the E100 got buffed pretty hard and are now significantly better at what is a pretty similar playstyle.

 

They're not really worth it as of now.

JP HT gimmick was they were the only tanks that were almost nearly competitive while using HE shells. As in, in a server full of human players, people could choose between HE and AP guns, with most still choosing AP anyway since the actual DPM is still higher but HE provided more opportunities for steady chip damage. It was a pretty good addition of variety

 

However turns out this idea does not work well in bot servers where humans are accustomed to 1v3 bots and win. 3 x 122 HE from O-Ho bots is pretty high DPM.

What are those Type 68 and 71's? The Chi-Se I could read about from the wart-hunder reddit, but not those two.

From the blurry pics they look like some kind of variant along the lines of the STA-1/2 or the Type 61

I hope the Japanese heavies that will be introduced in Blitz will be great tech tree tanks like those of Germany and the US> that can counter the stream of OP premiums.

Japanese top tier heavy can be useful in the strategist mode. But its just gonna be fun a few games. Other than that, the tank is... for enthusiasts or "play for fun" purposes.

thats for randoms, but yes will work for that purpose in any mode.

type 5 is actually better than the MAUS at those things, but yes, the more, the better.

balanced them....whatever... more like screwed them up the wazoo, made the main gun on the type 5 Heavy useless, and weakened the frontal armor but forgot to balance their Russian heavies... the game is supposed to fun lol not anymore

I'll be honest budge, I don't agree with many of the balance decisions they've made over the years, but knee capping the Japanese heavies was one of the ones I backed. They just dumbed everything down too much.

I dunno, it's just too weak now.

 

Maybe additional spaced armor to fend off HEAT would be nice. It's meant to be more than just a HEAT pincushion.
