Hi guys!
Does who play WoT on macOS - would have a problem with launching the Wargaming.net Game Center after the macOS 12.3 Monterey update. Some of you guys may wonder why this happens.
You may get this error message when launching the app -
Why this happens?
On macOS 12.3 Monterey - Apple removed legacy support for Python 2.7, removing python from system library folder. (Check the update log below)
Well, Python 2.7 is an outdated project and removing it would be a great news for developers - but the problem is WGC calls Python 2.7 from system library when launching.
Since WGC tries to call something doesn't exist, the app crashes with error message. You may think you can solve this problem by adding Python 2.7 manually to system library, but macOS checks integrity of its system folders every time so you cannot modify something related to OS itself.
I've contacted about this issue with CodeWeavers dev team right after the Monterey 12.3 launches and they told me that they already aware of this issue, but still have problem with solving the problem.
Thankfully, now there's a new version of WGC for Mac and you can launch the app properly. All you have to do is downloading new version of WGC from WoT portal.

Also, if you have an technical issue with WoT for macOS, you'd better contact CodeWeavers team directly.
It's a dev team responsible for porting WoT from Windows to macOS.

I've already tested on my MacBook Pro 14" 2021 with M1 Pro chip and it works perfectly.
Good luck on the battlefield with macOS devices!
