The marathon in this format felt much faster to complete because i was using the event tanks (Leopard 1 and HE4), which can easily earn 8 points per game and most importantly, are tanks that work well for quick games since both tanks can be used to take a slice of the cake very quickly. So with that said, i know this event worked for me this time, and this season.
I cant talk about gameplay quality have improved, it didnt seem different from other marathons, but at least every game i had EBRs to blow up with my HE4 or snap their butt with my Leo. 279s which the teams struggle to pen are the main dish for the E4 as well.
Overall i would say the event is good in this format, but the main thing that may have been making this event worth it is the main reward: the tvp tank.
