OK so I have reached tier 2 and I seem to be continually facing players with 10K+ battles all spamming gold.  Is this what I can expect from now on?

Yeah, I don't think this game is for me.  AND what is up with the T-60.  I have been set on fire 6 out of 7 battles!

IT IS for you, I can feel this game is for you. Just skip tier 2 and go straight to tier 5-6 and stay there until you build enough crew skills (lets say 3-4) and enough economy (at least 5 mil). Then slowly start making your way to tier 7.

 

Transfer crew with you.

 

Have at least 2 tanks at tier 5-6 with separate crews each (obviously).

 

I recomend one of the tanks to be a dmg dealer, the other is a heavy tank full of hp. Alternate between tanks, but play calmly. If you fail as heavy tank full of HP, at least your team can use you as a distraction.

 

Go slowly etc. Dont rush tiers. Get a marathon tank if possible. Train crews while learning the game at tier 5-6. Stay away from anything else. Dont platoon with LT or TD or Arty. Get a LT but stay at tier 6 to learn first. After 3k games, start slowly advancing to tier 7. 5k later advance to tier 8

Well you are a fast learner considering you already know what players with 10k battles and gold spamming is.

 

Weird that you're still at tier 2 despite that tho.

I had an account a few years ago - didn't get far - no idea what the logon was for it so yes - I started a new account.  Does that matter?

Really?  I can read statistics.

Why is it weird - Account freebie gave me a tier 5 premium.  WG put a tier 6 rental in my account a couple of days ago.  Training gave me 1 x  tier 2 and 1 x 3 tank - the rest were tier 1.  I moved up to tier 2 since Tier 1 games took 10-15+ minutes to find.  I am trying to get my crews to 100% but at the rate I earn XP it will be quite some time.  Get to tier 5/6 - that will be months of effort at best.

I haven't played tier 2 in years, but mid tiers most (probably 90%) don't gold spam. Of course, some individuals will at any tier, but if you know what you're doing you should be able to deal with them.

 

It's only tier 10 really where it's an issue.

Try completing the tutorial to get one tank to tier 6?

Part of the game, WG can not stop anyone form playing any tier they want to play.

Fair point. If it's the ww2 genre you're into there are plenty of fps and rts with ai you could try.

It can be easier to do some of the daily missions in the lower tiers . Especially the win 3 / 5 missions . Or damage 7 tanks or do 15 crits etc .

I hate FPS games.  These days there seems to be no intermediate ground - games are either too kiddie like or too hard (at least for an old fellow)  I like the old games where you could set the difficulty level to suit ones ability (or lack thereof)

Yes exactly - this is not a free game.

 

Think in this way - players spend gold to WG, will they get less advantagous? How much you paid?

 

Simple maths - face the reality.
