Hi,

I just wanted to thank WG for this server as I am now having 100ish ping as compared to my previous 150ish. In my decade of WOT gameplay, I have never seen that ping marker 'green'. It is nothing short of exciting. Please keep this server up and running.

Well, ping is reduced. Unfortunately it is not steady. Varying between 70 ish and 110 ish, mostly sitting around 80 ish.

Makes it difficult with the variance, small course corrections turn into 90 hard turns :-)

Pingplotter suggests variance is on the singapore side , but also indicates 100% packet loss on the connection to the server.( is that a feature of cloud servers that pingplotter cant cope with?)

Hopefully WG will address all these issues with the alacrity they are renowned for.

100% loss on the server just means it drops pings rather than replying

I used to play with 180-190 ping in NZ and never had that issue. Getting 150 on new server and it's still fine.

Yeah, not too fussed on the actual ping number. But variable ping is just painful.

Ping is trash, almost 200 in game. Should of just kept Hk and saved the $$$

ping averaging 300. it's unplayable now. used to get 20 to 30 for ANZ. I am inner city Brisbane and can no longer play this game. 26k battles, sad to stop playing.

Last night was good but i find today it is just a little off..... shots just seem to miss or always be that little bit late, cant hit weak spots like normal..... ping fluctuates and a bit more packet loss i assume. You notice it in fast paced close quarter battles or when long range trying to snipe. I just logged off for tonight. 5 games is enough to not put up with the pain any longer for now.

Im in Sydney, Australia. 11th september, no matches due to constant error messages. 12th september,  150-200ms ping. Its unplayable. used to be around 20-30ms on most times. They could at least turn the anz server back on until they fix the issues.

Gave WG a WG check report with network diagnostics for the heck of it .

The reply :-

We have analyzed your report and it seems that the reason behind this issue lies somewhere in your ISP's network.
On the screenshot you can see that unusually high latency and packet loses start to show themselves right on the second hop, which is in most cases your ISP's network.
Regarding this problem you should contact your ISP.

Telstra is probably the best ISP in the country . So my connection to anything else is good , but my ISP is the problem for the new servers latency  .

I still think it's morally wrong so in fact I'm right.

Seems like a reasonable response considering that based on our analysis, we expect the transition to the new server to be a smooth one.

Unplayable shite.

gone from 30ms to 160ms+

packet loss like mad, turret just jerks around, then I find myself 10m in front of the last bush I was behind.

When the server used to be in Singapore almost every problem I had was when my connection hit the Telstra network. Out of NZ fine, cross the Tasman fine, SG fine, server fine, crossing Australia an absolute fu.cking (no mods) mess.

This is my experience.
It's telstraglobal where the spikes happen, not locally.

Wargaming is not at all concerned with alienating AUS/NZ, we probably don't collectively toss enough money in their direction.

I'm having no issues. No packet loss, improved ping over HK (but worse than Aus - as expected).

It's basically the same as the old SG server - when it wasn't sharked - for me, same ping. I suspect that if you are experiencing anything other than an 'old SG server' experience then it's your ISP that needs a slap.

Unless you are in NZ and your ISP is the one I work for in which case I said nothing.

I have been experiencing 90% packet loss at the last jump. It improved to 86% last night. Lodged a ticket.

Block Quote

We have reported the issue to our network engineers. We hope that soon the quality of the connection to the server will be significantly improved.

Lets hope so.

It may be better for Asia, but for the ANZ side it's terrible. 30 Ping up to 130 Ping, many disconnections during the game. Jerking like a muther facker during play. Plus player base is full of muppets. Rant over……breath.

See the problem lies not with Australia as it takes 6 milliseconds to go from Sydney to the Singapore Telco and then 220 milliseconds to get the Singapore server, the latency is at their end not ours, so typical Wargaming "passing the buck".... One might think this is a deliberate effort to block Aust/NZ players from the WoT Asia by making virtually impossible for us to play.
