Good Day tankers!
Question for AU and NZ players.
What is you experience and impression with new (one_for_everyone) game server?
My ping is better than before for HK hub, now is about 100-120 ms from Melbourne (SuperLoop 100\20 plan) with no critical lags.
But in my thinking here is a better playing conditions for guys with 20-30 ms ping which give them some priority.
What do you think?

The first couple of days i found it ok but from then on i am getting more lag and packet loss issues especially when the number of players on the server increases. When it starts I often find myself just leaving the game. If they get it sorted and "stable" then I think it is still very competitive however with the current issues I find my average wn8 per battle is much lower as my shots are not landing were expected and I am getting lag killed more often playing peek-a-boo etc. My gameplay has not changed but the end results are noticibly different. I always wished there was a way to measure my stats in ANZ vs my stats when i played the very laggy HK server. Some people are content with having 20k+ games under the belt and just click buttons and be amazed by the colours and feel good after a few hours, I am personally more competitive and if my ability to continue to do so vanishes then so will I.

What do I think?  Going from a 23 ping to 120+ with lags and packet losses?  Getting stuck with the stupid playstyle of the HK players?

Before HK and ANZ servers, we had to put up with SG and it's 120+ ping and many cable outages.  Before that, we put up with the NA West ping.  Now we are going backwards in WG service by going back to an SG server.

Before this stupid idea, we had a CHOICE to play and support our local ANZ server, where the playstyles, even with noobs, had more common sense and less stupidity.  The BOTS had better playstyles and common sense than the HK players.

As Troll Traktor has mentioned, I too am seeing more losses and, due to HK players holding each-others private parts and hiding far too long in many cases, useless draws.

So now, we have to put up with crap ping and crap games.

That's what I think vvombat.

I didn't play much on ANZ server as my playtimes are during the day - didn't want to smack around bots too much.

My latency to HK was always around 95-120 so I got used to this - routing through SG to HK.

I'm now getting around 60 on the SG server so I find it better.

I do find the odd period of weird lag where there is no packet loss or increase in ping but haven't worked that out yet.

I'm getting 100-130 from Sydney, with up to 90% packet loss.

Support tells me that their network engineers are working on it, which makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Three things I have done in response:

1. Wallet is closed. I will progressively sell down my garage;

2. Playing less tanks;

3. Started looking for a new game.

Had similar problems with several ISPs (TPG, dodo). Swop to SuperLoop (not an Ad!) - much better.(less number of hops, less PL and lags)  It Was started Packets loss a lot few days ago, I did chat with them and after Reset on their end, it became much better, not ideal but better. Also reset NBN box and router. G"Luck!

Things I've found with the new server, my camo mechanics is pretty much non-existent, 6th sense works sometimes, my ping is 170-205 tonight, weird play style of the HK players, the whole team either camps at base or they lemming rush one flank which has its positives and negatives, they love to suicide if there's water, best I've seen so far is 6 tanks drowning at the same time... no point reporting it Wargaming does F all about it....

Apart from the new server the maps changed in the latest update, bushes have been altered so the server has nothing to do with spotting issues or sixth sense.  It is quite possible you are getting spotted and stay spotted hence no additional warnings.

For intentional suiciding you need to submit a replay file.  They will get game bans however it is never immediate.

As you can probably see vvombat, there are few replies.  What you would also see is how long those who replied have been with the game.

I doubt you will get many more replies because WG has progressively lost a lot of it's more seasoned players due to their own actions.

Killing off the ANZ server won't cause WG to loose any sleep and that is the attitude a lot of the past players have realised and subsequently left the game.

Newer players, if they even know about these forums, wouldn't be able to compare the service we get from WG now to what we got before.

I think the game is loosing a lot of players so WG pockets aren't as full and they are progressively cutting their losses by closing servers.

I'm no computer wizard, but I think this "cloud" server is just the old Singapore server, upgraded maybe, being rebooted so they can close ANZ and HK servers.

As player numbers drop, the SG server can probably handle the traffic better than in the game's heyday.

In a year or so, I think they will cut back on any updates to the game and eventually game support will also go by the wayside.

All games have a life-span.  WoT has been lucky to have a long one.  I believe we are seeing the slow decline to the game's eventual demise online.

100% agree to what you said Mate! And very sad that in 2022 RU segment moved to Lesta. I have an account with them, not for everyday playing which is hard on ping 300+, but for fun with friends. They have 12!!! servers and great support. Lesta game is different, has funny new tanks now, like tier 8 flamethrower tanks. :-),
Very ☹ sad.

In general, the cost of the Anz server and the promos were too much for the new Boss to handle. So that is why we had to kiss it all goodbye. Regardless the Anz player base is not the main focus nor was it the main money maker for Wg..

...and 2/3rds of the ANZ player base never played on the ANZ node anyway. Hard to justify the costs of running it if the people it is for can't be bothered.

Part of the problem though was that you could never get the tiers you wanted at a time you wanted so were often forced to go to HK in order to complete events such as Battle Pass and others...... Or you could just get a pz 5/4, join a particular clan and then just farm bots on platoons all week to pad stats which again never helped the server to move past tier 6 until progressively later and later each night.

But, compared to other servers, WG Asia rarely even gave out codes for minor shit, that would cost them nothing but would be appreciated by the players.  Those in charge of the Asia server really did a shit job of PR.  The Asia CCs seemed to be the only PR.

Australia got the same codes other servers in Asia got, so it wasn't shortchanged compared to other servers.

If you mean the Asia region got less than other regions, that's a different point - and I'm still not sure correct either.

I did mean the ASIA region and yes, I often saw players from the UK getting codes from their servers on a regular basis.  WG Asia bosses are tight-arses when it comes to such things.  I can't remember what NA did in the months I was on there before the SEA server started up in SG.

I'm on a WOT codes FB page,

It would appear that other servers, do get more codes than Asia,
