Dear Tank Commanders

On 30.12.2012 at 00:00 SGT (29.12.2012) 16:00 UTC the World of Tanks SEA game cluster will be unavailable due to the launch of a new server update and will be unavailable for approximately xxx minutes.

We know that the number of self-propelled guns can have a dramatic impact on battles.  They are a great compliment to other tanks, but are a challenging and delicate vehicle archetype to balance.  With that in mind this server update sets the limit of the number of SPG vehicles to not exceed more than 5 vehicles in each team per battle.

This Match Maker adjustment may slightly increase the waiting time to enter battle if you're playing the SPG vehicles, or if SPG is present in your platoon.
Please note, that the Match Maker is organized according to the laws of statistics, and, under certain conditions, some deviations in the teams forming process are possible.

We will continue to work on the Match Making system to aim for its perfection, so we're definitely looking for your feedback on this alteration.  Please provide your feedback and experiences on this alteration in this thread provided, your feedback and analyzing of game data will be considered in any future alterations.

reasonable limit, no swarm of spgs battle and keep enuf for foolprove. although positive oppinions from me is rare but this one is all good.
when you sucked, I will say "you suck", it hurt your feeling? sry but i wont stop telling. what you gonna do? go to you mum and cry? yeah you suck.

Hummm I like that.... i dont like more spgs during the battle it's always annoying... anyway we love that update so we can make the game fair and fun!

Tier  8 Spg wait times on the sea server are already very high with constant timeouts waiting in queue, only to get into a partial battle , reducing the number per battle is a good start but reduce it to 4 per side and open up t10 battles to tier 8 spg to get them in games easier.

Okay I have no problem regarding any changes you make  but can't you decide  characteristics of tanks before you release it in the game, I mean every patch you are messing down with features..if someone advances on a tech tree line in motive to get his favourite tank  and the day he/she reaches it you alter its features making all the way traversed to that tank useless.

I have never been in one of these arty parties and mad quite happy to say that arty rage makes me happy, but this fix can only benefit the game.

Re-balancing of artillery and spreading artillery up to T10's. IE 1->10 instead of the current 1-8 is already in development.

Even if what you wrote was correct, and an arty limit of 3-4 per side would be better....
I think an arty limit of 5 initially is the correct way to go.

At the moment artillery only goes up to tier 8's, and there is currently match making difficulties in tier 8 artillery getting into games quickly.
I think if an arty limit of 3-4 a side was to be considered, this consideration would best be done after artillery is expanded out to tier 1->10.

So keep providing your feedback on how these changes are effecting game play.
And with game stats, your feedback and the game stats can go towards making other game improvements.

Can we have... if possible and within reason, like equal tier & number of SPG tier per team?

One match I encountered: 2 Tier 6 SPG <<<vs>>> 1 Tier 6 & 2 Tier 5 SPG.
Somewhat the logic behind it is... 2 Tier 5 SPG = 1 Tier 6

Hi, 3 to 4 SPG per team would be nice. I'm an Arty player and I have already encountered 6 arty per side( from tier 4 to tier 6). Anyway, here in SEA server there is not much an overflow of arty, except when you play in the wee hours of the morning (5 arty per team) where we all fight to hit the same target.  Anyway, this limit is a step forward in the right direction.

Is there a way to put a message when you hit battle giving you the average wait for your vehicle.
eg, 'The average wait for a tier 8 arty is 35mins, stop being stupid and play a tank'
ok maybe not the last bit but any sort of incentive to get people to leave the queue would be good. you could exaggerate the wait time too.

Would love to see a arty limit of 3. 5 is still too many but i guess it's a good start.
